It’s Monday morning and I’m planning on bringing my kids to see the Christopher Nolan movie Dunkirk. It’s a light hearted summer comedy movie with an orangutan.
OK, it’s not that at all.
Rather, it’s a retelling of how in World War 2 the Brits were able to evacuate their army off the continent after the Germans out maneuvered them. Civilian boats were called upon to sail the 22 miles and rescue the battered and bruised British Expeditionary Force (BEF).
I consider it part of my kids’ Don’t be historically ignorant education.
