What you’re about to see is real. Comedian Sacha Baron Cohen is taking on the persona of  Captain Erran Morad. Captain Morad is supposedly an anti-terrorism expert. With him is Georgia state representative Jason Spencer. Mr. Spencer is a Republican and a proud Tea Partier.

But I’m getting ahead of myself.

This clip is from Sacha Baron Cohen’s new 7 part Showtime series Who Is America?

Hey! This isn’t safe for work! Put on your headphones.

After first watching it I said to myself Who is this Spencer guy? Did he deserve it?

I’ll let you decide, Disbelievers.

The following is from The Hill’s article Ga. lawmaker: Dem criticizing Confederate monuments could ‘go missing’:

Georgia state Rep. Jason Spencer (R) said a former Democratic lawmaker might “go missing” in a nearby swamp if she continues to criticize Confederate statues.

Spencer originally posted a photo with a memorial for Confederate President Jefferson Davis, saying that the statue was Georgia’s history and used the hashtag #DealWithIt in a Facebook post first reported by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

The Democratic lawmaker in question is a black woman.

I don’t know where you draw the “He deserves what he got” line. Personally speaking, Mr. Spencer hop-skipped-jumped over it. I’m not crying for Argentina or Jason Spencer.

There are calls for Spencer to resign. However, he seems adamant to hang on to the end of his term in office. Here’s part of his written statement about the show:

I apologize to my family, friends, and the people of my district for this ridiculously ugly episode. Finally, there are calls for me to resign. I recently lost my primary election, so I will not eligible to hold office next term. Therefore, I will finish the remaining five months at my post and vacate my seat.

He’s sorry he got caught red handed in the racist cookie jar.
