Washington DC – President Trump’s  attorney Rudy Giuliani is trying to walk back his recent statement that “truth isn’t truth.” He made that bold announcement last Sunday as CNN reported:

“When you tell me that, you know, he should testify because he’s going to tell the truth and he shouldn’t worry, well, that’s so silly because it’s somebody’s version of the truth. Not the truth,” Giuliani told NBC’s Chuck Todd on Sunday morning during “Meet the Press.”

That statement went viral. “Truth isn’t truth” seems to sum up the doublespeak and doublethink indicative to the Trump administration.

To help do damage control, Mr. Giuliani went on FOX News to clarify his thoughts on the truth. He was hoping to make matters better. Instead, he found himself in the deep end of absurdity:

*When I said ‘truth isn’t truth” I was referring to the nature of truth in computer simulations and how they relate to today’s fake news politics. Washington DC is the Matrix. It’s generated by artificially intelligent computers run by deep state lizard men and women. How can truth be truth in the Matrix? Truth isn’t truth. In fact, the truth is a lie and deep state conspiracies are what’s real. Wake up sheeple! Get woke. Take the red pill!!!

In unrelated news, René Descartes is rolling over in his grave.

*Giuliani’s actual statement explaining his truth isn’t truth assertion: “My statement was not meant as a pontification on moral theology but one referring to the situation where two people make precisely contradictory statements, the classic ‘he said, she said’ puzzle. Sometimes further inquiry can reveal the truth other times it doesn’t,” tweeted Giuliani, a lawyer for Trump in the Russia investigation.
