Veteran journalist and free speech activist Barry Duke was, for 24 years, editor of The Freethinker magazine, the second oldest continually active freethought publication in the world, established by G.W. Foote in 1881. He also edits a website for The Pink Triangle Trust https://thepinktriangletrust.com/) for a UK-based LGBT charity of the same name. He lives in Spain with his husband Marcus. The couple have been together for 25 years. In 2017, the year he was married, he was awarded a Lifetime Achievement Award by the London-based National Secular Society.
