Foundation Beyond Belief will be holding its second annual conference on July 25 in Boston. The theme is #BlackLivesMatter and, unlike most atheist gatherings, the focus here is entirely on philanthropy, volunteering, and community building. It’s a refreshing change of pace.

Sikivu Hutchinson will deliver the keynote speech: Colorblind Lies & Meritocracy Myths: Moving Secular Social Justice. 50% of the proceeds from this event will go to a charity related to our theme (to be announced in the coming weeks).

Some of the voices you will hear at the event are Professor Monica Miller of Lehigh University, Professor Fiery Cushman of Harvard, Shane Slone, FBB staff members Rebecca Vitsmun, Conor Robinson and AJ Chalom, and more.
It’s hard to understate the impact last year’s conference had on me personally. It was inspiring listening to speakers who had devoted their whole lives to making the world a better place — and doing so because it was an outgrowth of their Humanist ethics.
