Peter D’Angelo, a composer who normally creates music for TV and film, put together a Christmas song for atheists. It’s called “Keep the Merry, Dump the Myth

The chorus is short and sweet:

Keep the Merry, Dump the Myth
On December 25th
Learn how to end fights with hugs or handshakes
Be good — just because, for goodness sake

It’s Saturnalia, don your finest regalia
That also goes for Yule, Chanukah, and Kwanzaa
No need to remind My fellow heathens
The planet’s axis — the reason for the season

Play it over the next week and see if your relatives ever catch on!

You can hear D’Angelo’s previous tracks here and here.
