In an email sent out yesterday by the anti-gay Christian group One Million Moms (which has 3,629 followers on Twitter), Director Monica Cole warned parents against letting their kids watch a Disney XD cartoon Star vs. the Forces of Evil because a recent episode featured gay characters kissing like they were normal human beings.

This is the last place parents would expect their children to be confronted with content regarding sexual orientation. Issues of this nature are being introduced too early and too soon, and it is becoming extremely common and unnecessary.

Disney has decided to be politically correct versus providing family-friendly entertainment. Disney should stick to entertaining instead of pushing an agenda. Conservative families need to urge Disney to avoid mature and controversial topics.

Sign the Disney Pledge stating you will not support Disney unless they produce family-friendly entertainment.

Cole doesn’t have a problem with animals kissing (Lady and the Tramp), a man kissing a non-consenting woman (Sleeping Beauty), or a human kissing a monster (Beauty and the Beast)… but same-sex couples kissing next to straight people?! Why does Disney hate America?!

By the way, Disney XD is a channel specifically geared toward a pre-teen and teenage audience. If Cole thinks that’s too early for kids to be exposed to issues involving sexual orientation, then she has absolutely no clue what kids of that age are doing, thinking, or talking about.

Can you imagine how amazing Cole’s life must be that this is the sort of issue that keeps her up late at night?
