Televangelist Jim Bakker has already said 100 hitmen have been hired to kill Donald Trump, but since that hasn’t happened, he’s bringing the threat closer to home.
He said on his show last week that “they” — meaning liberal activists — would soon start murdering Christian leaders. This is apparently based off the negative reactions to an upcoming anti-abortion movie that includes cameos by professional trolls Milo Yiannopoulos and Tomi Lahren.
“They don’t want the truth to come out and here in America, we don’t have the freedom to produce a movie that tells the other side,” Bakker bellowed. “People, you don’t understand where we are. I’ve been hesitating to tell you what’s going to come next — one of the things — but they’re going to begin to kill the Christian leaders in this country. I don’t want to say it — I’ve known it for many, many years — but I knew it would come and I believe God has told me that it’s going to happen very, very soon.”
First of all, you can’t kill people who are already dead on the inside.
What are we going to kill people with, anyway? The guns we don’t want?
And when was someone going to inform me about this plan? No one tells me anything.
Finally, does anyone seriously believe Bakker would’ve known about this plan for “many, many years” but kept it a secret that whole time? His entire brand is fear. It makes no sense to suggest he knew something awful was on the horizon but kept it to himself. This is the same guy who promotes end-of-the-world food buckets every damn show. If he has something scary to tell you, he’ll tell you.
It’s not like he’s spreading the gospel of love.
