Anyone who cares about science, evidence, and the only life we’re guaranteed should be appalled by Donald Trump and the Republican Party’s dismissal and denial of the seriousness of climate change. They can phrase it however they want, but their inaction on the issue and their withdrawal from the Paris climate accord last week shows that they have no clue how big of a deal this is. Or they do and they just don’t give a damn.

The environment is never a sexy political issue and the 2018 midterm elections are almost certainly not going to hinge on a politician’s stance on global warming, but that’s unfortunate. This shouldn’t be a controversy. Like evolution, it’s settled science. The only question is whether our elected officials accept reality or continue living in a bubble while the world suffers.
