YouTuber Keith Hood (a.k.a. hiith) recently lost his grandmother. They were close, so it hit him pretty hard, but he did a wonderful thing in turning on his camera and talking about how, as an atheist, he’s handling her absence since he doesn’t believe he’ll see her again in the afterlife.
It’s honest, it’s unscripted, and it includes a lot of really useful advice for anyone struggling in the same way.

There’s a part in there where he talks about her religious funeral and why he was frustrated with it… but he also notes that the religious commentary was exactly what other people needed to help them cope with the loss.
His way of coping? Helping strangers get through the same struggle over YouTube. It’s definitely appreciated.
