Right-wing pastor Curt Landry, who told people last month to avoid potential COVID-19 vaccines because they’re from the “pit of Hell” and urged people to trust Donald Trump over Dr. Anthony Fauci since God chose Trump, is now saying Satan wants Trump out of office in order to carry out another Holocaust.
He made the comments during a YouTube livestream Wednesday night.
“This is thus saith the Lord,” Landry declared. “Satan is already anticipating his victory to divide and conquer, and he’s already anticipating that Donald Trump will not be reelected, and some far-left socialist communist is going to take over the United States of America. He’s already anticipating this. And here’s the key for us: We have to agree tonight, we have to agree that we’re going to disappoint Satan, and we’re going to say, ‘No, this isn’t going to happen — not on my watch’ … Because I made a commitment to the Lord 30 years ago in Tel Aviv that there would not be another Holocaust. Not on my watch.”
Trump’s incompetence, boosted by his Republican allies, has led to more than 100,000 victims of the virus — a number that could have been much significantly smaller had they acted weeks earlier instead of denying the threat. Yet Landry thinks he’s saving lives by linking Satan with Democrats and pretending that a Joe Biden victory is akin to Hitler‘s rise.
He’s insane. And millions of right-wing Christians agree with him.
