This was posted on today’s Fathers Day edition of PostSecret:

Most dads love unconditionally. Unfortunately he will only love & accept me if I go back to the religion I was raised in. He doesn’t understand that it almost killed me when I was in it.

I’d rather be free & rejected than be caged and loved by my Dad again.

How awful would a parent have to be to put a child in that situation…?

And what religion are we even talking about? It’s sad to consider the long list of possibilities.

At least the writer made the right decision. Better to be faith-free and create your own family than go back to one where love comes with strings attached.
