Rick Wiles, the right-wing pundit and professional anti-Semite who spent the past year denying the seriousness of COVID but whose workplace now has a massive COVID outbreak, appears to be doing better after his own health scare.

Over the past few days, though, Wiles’ TruNews show has featured guest hosts, including right-wing grifter Milo Yiannopoulos and failed Senate candidate from Delaware Lauren Witzke.

On the most recent episode, Witzke claimed that the COVID outbreak at TruNews must have been sent by Satan for allowing Milo, who now claims to be “ex-gay,” to appear on the show a couple of weeks ago.

I don’t think it’s any coincidence that the TruNews crew all got deathly ill — got very sick — right after they… brought Milo onto their show and he shared his testimony.

You have to remember that this is a spiritual battle as well, and our enemy retaliates… This was retaliation.

… We constantly battle demonic spirits, demonic attacks, on ourselves and we as Christians must stay equipped. But also we must stay prayerful as we walk into these times… It was no coincidence that Rick and his crew are in the situation that they’re in because they stood for Christ and had, you know, the spine to bring Milo on and share his platform and his testimony. Milo was somebody who belonged to the darkness. He was already… Satan’s favorite sodomite, wasn’t he?

I don’t know. God seemed pretty content with letting the TruNews staff suffer even if Satan caused the outbreak. Maybe they’re working together on this. That theory makes as much sense as anything Witzke is saying.

Her claim also doesn’t explain why there have been so many COVID outbreaks at churches where you’d think Satan couldn’t get very far…

It’s amazing how these wingnuts still can’t comprehend how an infectious disease operates among people who refuse to get vaccinated. You don’t need a supernatural explanation for this. Wiles has spread misinformation about COVID for more than a year, and his lies finally came back to haunt him. I’m having a hard time generating any empathy for the people there especially when it’s clear they’ve learned nothing from Wiles’ own hospitalization.
