During a recent episode of The Atheist Experience, host Matt Dillahunty talked about how his parents are still trying to bring him back to Jesus, long after he made it clear he’s an atheist. That included a cringe-worthy card they sent him to celebrate his 50th birthday.
The situation raises some important questions: What do you do when people you love can’t accept that you’re an atheist? Where should you draw the boundaries with them? What do you say to them when they make every interaction about their religion?
I don’t even want to quote any of this; it’s all important to hear. Just watch the segment that begins around the 4:40 mark.
