For Goodness Sex: Changing the Way We Talk to Teens About Sexuality, Values, and Health Hardcover – September 16, 2014 by Al Vernacchio

Al Vernacchio’s the same guy who did the TED talk about sex needing a different metaphor than baseball, in case you didn’t know, and he’s utterly charming as an author and speaker. This book is fantastic because it challenges us to rethink how we view teenage sexuality, and provides multiple examples from Vernacchio’s long career as a high school sex educator of how to talk to teens about sex (which also includes relationships, gender identity, body image, and technology). Even if you don’t have kids, this book will leave you with insightful conversation-starters and concepts for how to manage what often feels like an awkward topic even among adults. I wish every high school teacher and administrator had to read this book!
