Due to the great success of the book launch of Filling the Void: A Selection of Humanist and Atheist Poetry, in the small local bookshop in Lee-on-Solent, a second launch in Portsmouth is taking place on Saturday. Obviously barely any of my worldwide readers will be about, but if you are in Hampshire and want to come along to something very different, then please do.
Details can be found on facebook here, and the description follows:
Come and listen to some humanist poetry and a song or two in celebration of the new book collection ‘Filling the Void’.
Author Jonathan MS Pearce, and contributors Gareth Howells (of BEMIS) and Glenn Barr will be in attendance to introduce their work and discuss the themes explored.
We will be showcasing an assortment of books published by local publishing imprints “Onus Books” and “Loom” which will be available, in addition to ‘Filling the Void’.
Bring a humanist poem if you want to share!
This is a free event and all are welcome.
N.B. This is a University of Portsmouth Open Day so parking will be difficult in the immediate vicinity. There are plenty of bike-racks and we can accommodate your legs in-store…
