This is what I have learnt today, and recently.

  1. Trump is assembling the richest cabinet in history. Indeed, “Wall Street Wins Again as Trump Picks Bankers, Billionaires”.
  2. Patraeus gave classified information to his mistress and is up for Secretary of State, thus rendering Clinton’s emailgate utterly hypocritical.
  3. California history teacher to retire after receiving disciplining for rightly comparing Trump to Hitler.
  4. Texas will require the burial of aborted foetuses.
  5. Frightened by Donald Trump? You don’t know the half of it. Many of his staffers are from an opaque corporate misinformation network. We must understand this if we are to have any hope of fighting back against them. The dark world of Republican funding is enough to give you nightmares.
  6. Kellogg’s pulls advertising from Breitbert, so Breitbert declares #WAR.
  7. “If I win the election I will gladly show my tax returns” – Donald Trump. Still waiting.
  8. Trump tweets: “Nobody should be allowed to burn the American flag – if they do, there must be consequences – perhaps loss of citizenship or year in jail!” George Takei replies: “I pledged allegiance to the flag every morning inside an internment camp. I would never burn one, but I’d die to protect the right to do so.” BOOM
  9. Every single Trump cabinet member so far opposes LGBT rights.
  10. Trump is meeting with an ex-bank CEO who wants to abolish the Federal Reserve and return to the gold standard.
  11. Trump thinks the election was rigged? A Trump staffer was just convicted on ten charges of felony election fraud (though unrelated – just the irony).
  12. Sarah Pail is looking to get a role in Trump’s team. Trump considering Palin to lead Veterans Affairs: ABC.
  13. Trump has already defeated the news media. And it’s unclear what we can do about it.

So on, and so forth. I could cry. Drain the swamp, my arse.
