Here are the details: […]

An Evening of Humanist & Atheist Poetry & Music for your Enjoyment
Reading Time: < 1 minute At the end of last year, myself and a friend (and his son) performed an atheist poetry and music evening for the Dorset Humanists 20th Anniversary celebrations. My Opening Speech in Last Night’s EU Debate
Reading Time: 6 minutes As mentioned, I was on a three person panel defending remaining in the EU against three others arguing for leaving. The debate was in the context of humanism, especially as it was hosted by the Dorset Humanists, in Bournemouth. I was tasked with going first for Remain, and thought I’d introduce a little psychology and a […]

My understanding Islam debate now available online – please check it out!
Reading Time: < 1 minute I recently had a fascinating debate with David Warden of the Dorset Humanists concerning Islam, which I have written fairly extensively about. My “Understanding Islam” talk went very well
Reading Time: < 1 minute I had a debate of sorts in my last talk to the Dorset Humanists on Thursday night. As mentioned in previous posts, my talk was based roughly on my blog post about”True Islam” and violence, and I spoke first with DH’s David Warden following me and countering my view with a more liberal and accepting approach to Islam.
Understanding Islam
Reading Time: < 1 minute Sorry I have been quiet, but I have been preparing for a talk to the Dorset Humanists on Islam. This will be a co-presented evening which will feature me putting forward my case that Islam naturally tends towards violence on account of the role model of Muhammad and the provenance and content of the holy […]
New Talk – “The Case for God on Trial” went down a treat
Reading Time: < 1 minute I gave my first talk of this name this week to Dorset Humanists, covering five different arguments (4 against God and 1 for), allowing for audience participation after each argument. Personally, I really enjoyed it – disseminating some quite intricate, at times, philosophical and theological arguments to a popular audience, though with some well-qualified members […]
