How do I update my display name?

To update your display name, go to the My Account page at https://onlysky.media/my-account/, log in, click on “Account Details,” enter the new name in the “Display name” field, then scroll down and click “save changes.”

Managing my avatar

Why won’t my avatar save?

If you find yourself having to upload your avatar every time you log in, it is likely due to your browser’s cookie setting. When you make an account on our site for the first time, we use cookies to save your username, password, and avatar so that you don’t have to provide this information every time you log in. To enable cookies on OnlySky, adjust your cookie settings in your browser. Here are instructions from Chrome and Safari. If you update your cookie settings and the issue persists, please contact us at help@onlysky.media and we will be happy to assist you.

How do I manage OnlySky Community Feature notifications?

Just by creating a free account, all OnlySky members have access to our Community Features, including commenting, upvoting, following authors, topics, and more. 

When you are logged in and click on the bell icon, it will open a notification tray, where you will see your Feed. To manage your notification settings, you can either click on the gear icon, or click on “Profile” and “Settings” underneath your name. In Settings, you can enable browser notifications and email notifications. If you opt into receiving email notifications, you will only receive email alerts when another reader replies to your comment or posts in a conversation you are following.

The Account Dashboard is a one-stop shop for all OnlySky members.

Once you’re registered for a free membership, you can manage your account by clicking “Sign In/Register” (if logged out) or “Account” (if logged in) in the top right corner of the site, or clicking here. How do I unsubscribe from newsletters?

If you subscribed to our Best of OnlySky newsletter, a Writer Alertor one of our site section newsletters, every email you receive will include two links in the footer where you can either unsubscribe from the newsletter or update your preferences. 

You can also click here to unsubscribe—please consider leaving us feedback about your reason for unsubscribing, which helps us improve our newsletter experience for everyone.
